B&B La Respuchina - Lake Como

This bed and breakfast in Bellano at the Como Lake enjoys an unforgettable view on the lake and the pleasant lady of the house gives you a very warm welcome.

It's situated in the village of Oro (Gold) - so called for the particularly sunny position - and you can reach the lake and various beaches through an attractive stairway that crosses the old suburb. Purchased by the owners in 2003, the house has been completely restructured and furnished with family restored furniture or recovered from the antique’s shop.

In the charming house on the second floor are two characteristic rooms reserved for guests, each marked by a different style, color and name, all with balcony and beautiful view on the lake. The rooms have independent entry, own bathroom, stylish furniture and tv. In common is also a small kitchenette with tea and coffee machine and drinks.

The landlady serves you a rich continental breakfast of biological and local products. For dinner they offer you the unique opportunity the taste the tradional local Italian cuisine (in collaboration with Ristorante La Vecchia Varenna) in your room, on the panoramic terrace or in the garden. The guesthouse is situated at Lake Como near Bellano (2 km) with a beautiful lakefront promenade and shops and restaurants. There is nice beach and a public swimming pool directly at the lake. From Bellano you can catch a ferry to discover all parts of the lake. At only 6 km is Varenna, the most characteristic town of Lago di Como and part of the golden triangle (Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio). Many watersport possibilities at the lake but also outdoor sports (trekking, mountain biking, skiing) are offered in the nearby Dolomites mountains.
