Villa Grandola - Lake Como

Large hill top holiday villa in Menaggio with wonderful views over Lake Como, Italy.

This villa is part of the history of Lake Como as it was built in the early 1900’s by an English nobleman who fell in love with the lake, in particular with Menaggio. He was also the founder of the nearby 18-hole golf course, the famous “Menaggio and Cadenabbia Golf Club”, which is within walking distance of the villa.

The classic English-style mansion (600m²) sleeps up to 12 people over 3 floors: the charming antique style interior will make you feel right at home featuring, on the main floor, a beautifully decorated living room with TV, open fireplace and grand piano, library, dining room seating 12, fully equipped kitchen and billiard room. The gorgeous wooden staircase leads to the first floor comprising two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, plus one double bedroom and one twin room which share a bathroom. On the second floor are two more double bedrooms and a bathroom.

The villa grounds (3 ha) provide the ideal place to relax and unwind during your stay with a large sunny lawn, barbecue and terrace offering great outdoor dining with sweeping views down to the lake. The surrounding park has one of the most beautiful gardens of the Lake Como area, full of secluded corners, small ponds, waterfalls, caves, and an enchanting tea house. For the children there’s a unique tree house, table football and an above-ground swimming pool. A peaceful getaway immersed in nature with the privacy of the park guaranteeing a relaxing vacation!

The holiday villa is located 3 km from the picturesque town of Menaggio which is situated midway along Lake Como. Here you’ll find many shops, bars and restaurants and a beautiful lakefront promenade and sandy beach. There is a frequent ferry service between the 'Golden triangle' towns of lake (Menaggio, Bellagio and Varenna).
